CycleCare aims to enhance the mental and physical well-being of child patients, while also fostering seamless communication across multiple levels among patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals. It is attempting to achieve these goals through multiple entry screens designed to meet the needs of each user group. The characters and game content that child patients engage with is powered by AI and dynamically tailored to their preferences on topics such as education, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
The research was conducted collaboratively with a cohort comprising seven health professionals within three hours co-design workshop held in the hospital environment. The primary aim of this workshop was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different phases of the patient's journey and to gather insights into the typical experiences of patients over a 24-hour period. To facilitate the gathering of information, specialized synthesizing tools and workshop materials were designed beforehand.
